This may include financing approval, a home inspection, insurance, water testing, or a review of documents.

   12. Hire a Real Estate Lawyer

   13. Your lawyer completes the title search, prepares the legal documents, and coordinates the transfer of ownership.

   14. Arrange Home Insurance & Utilities

   15. Secure insurance and arrange for utilities and services to be transferred into your name.

   16. Final Mortgage Funding

Your lender sends the mortgage funds to your lawyer before closing.

   17. Closing Day

Your lawyer transfers the funds, ownership is registered, and you receive the keys to your new home.
